Product Designer
& Builder.

I grew up in Guatemala City, where my parents made education the family's top priority. I took that seriously — working full-time as a nanny to pay my own tuition through both my undergrad and my Master's.

For my undergraduate final project, I wanted to do something real. I created a charity and used user research to support weavers and their children in Guatemala. That project provided 13 kids with scholarships, school supplies, and uniforms. It was the moment I knew I wanted to keep using my skills to create genuine impact.

My brother, a senior software developer at Google, introduced me to UX shortly after. When he explained it, I realized I had already been doing it. I loved helping people through design, so I applied to my Master's at NYIT and graduated with a job at IBM.

At IBM, I learned to build products, design systems, AI experiences, PLG, and Enterprise Design Thinking at global scale. But the most important thing I learned was that culture is the foundation of great solutions. I found my way of contributing through community building.

Over 6+ years, I delivered enterprise and AI/ML experiences across products, roles, and countries. I became an Enterprise Design Thinking Coach and facilitated 30+ workshops worldwide, including in the UK, with organizations like YWCA Greater Austin, Code2College, and UT McCombs School of Business.

Outside of work, I'm lifting heavy, learning something new, spending time with my pets, or traveling. Currently at 28+ countries and counting.
