I'm Su!

I grew up in Guatemala City, moved to New York for my B.F.A. and M.A., and now I'm based in Austin, TX. I became passionate about UX through a charity project during my undergraduate studies, where I conducted user research to support weavers and their children in Guatemala. That work provided 13 kids with scholarships, school supplies, and uniforms — that's when I knew I wanted to keep using my skills to create real impact.

After 6+ years at IBM, I've delivered enterprise and AI/ML experiences across products, roles, and countries. I became an Enterprise Design Thinking Coach and have facilitated over 30 workshops worldwide, including the UK, with organizations like YWCA Greater Austin, Code2College, and UT McCombs School of Business.

I love building communities to share knowledge, make designs stronger, and avoid silos. Outside of work you'll find me lifting heavy weights, learning something new, spending time with my pets, video calling my family in Guatemala, or traveling.
